‘ALPHA, BETA, OMEGA’: SOLO SHOW BY PHOTOGRAPHER ZAK KREVITT
Der Fotograf Zak Krevitt fokussiert sich in seiner Arbeit hauptsächlich auf das Innere von Queers-Leuten. Eine seiner Fotoserien wird gerade in der Ray Gallery in New York ausgestellt. ‘Alpha, Beta, Omega’ heißt die Show und umfasst 25 Bilder und eine standortspezifische Installationen des Künstlers. Seine Einzelausstellung ist eine Art Erforschung der “Puppy Play” Community – die Männer die als Hunde leben. Hier ein kleiner Einblick in seine Fotografie.
“In ‘Alpha, Beta, Omega.’ this act of becoming something more than human is examined, as is the burgeoning community surrounding it. We are on the cusp of the cyborg age, and here individuals have taken it upon themselves to strip away their human flesh and replace it with the imaged fur of a canine.”
